A city mechanical engineer is held by police over the suspected murder of his girlfriend a   Makerere University Business (MUBs), third year student of Business computing. 

Police said Doreen Adikini 21 who hails from Tororo district was strangled. Her naked body with a bruise around her neck was found on her bed in a single room Kinawataka- Mbuya, Nakawa division. 

The main suspect, police said is her boyfriend Hillary Oketch 23 a mechanic engineer at Oscar industries. Oketch who survived being lynched by an angry mob is in police custody.
